I'm going to try not to be emotional, because I got done writing angsty blogs a while ago, but I've been feeling a lot and nothing lately and I want to try to put them feelings and nots into words.
At the Vancouver Harry and the Potters' show today I told one of them that the band has meant so much to me, especially in high school where I felt like they helped me figure out who I am. Because I am nuts I word vomited it and then after I was like 'whaaat', but now that I think about it more I feel like I can articulate how that happened.
It's pretty much no secret that I love that band. Until I completely surrendered myself to television and video games they were basically all I talked about. It wasn't that they were just a band that sang about Harry Potter, they are a band that sings about the power of love and friendship and sticking it to the man.
When I'd talk about them to people I would get the strangest looks. The thing about the band though is that they are totally okay with singing about Harry Potter. How could you not be okay with it? When I remember that, I feel awesome talking about them, and I feel like I can be okay with doing whatever the hell I want too.
Especially now, when I feel like I'm constantly being judged and criticized by douchey and sexist eyes, I have to remember the lessons of Harry and the Potters, and how happy they made me feel every summer. Their shows would always remind me that I have no reason to be ashamed of the things I do or like, and I've unfortunately lost that attitude. They make me feel like I can kick the judgmental a-holes in the face and just bugger on. They keep me from being sucked into the whirlpool of being lame and fake and insincere, which is difficult. I don't have to become someone else to be happy, and I think I'm just starting to realize that, thanks to the help of Harry and the Potters. I gotta do the things I love, and ignore everything else.
I think this summer will be different.

Day 14 – Favorite male character
The Doctor. But that feels like a cop out because he has changed a lot. He's basically been 11 different characters.
Also Mulder.

Day 13 – Favorite childhood show
I was obsessed with Barney. My concept of time revolved around episodes of Barney shows.
I also like Kratts' Creatures, I had a crush on one of them. I was like 7 years old.
Then I became obsessed with Power Puff Girls.
And then Starship Troopers, the show. It was so cool.

Day 12 – An episode you’ve watched more than 5 times
Quite a few episodes of both Community and Parks and Rec because I tell people they have to watch them and then I watch it with them, so I'm pretty sure I've seen some of the episodes like six times.
Blink and the Human Nature/ Family of Blood episodes of Doctor Who because they are amazing, and a lot of series 6 episodes because I watched them once when I was watching the show for the first time, then again when I was rewatching the whole show, then again with my brother, then at least three more times when there are marathons. Vincent and the Doctor is probably the one I've seen most, because I love it and it is beautiful and warms my heart and makes me sad and happy at the same time.
I have to start talking about more shows.
Oh, I've definitely seen a lot of The Simpsons episodes more than five times. Because it's been on for so long and I've been watching it my whole life and I watch like 5 episodes a day.

Day 11 – A show that disappointed you
The most disappointing tv show I've ever had the misfortune of watching is Glee. It's by the guy who made Popular, and I loved that show, it was so weird and it definitely had some similar problems that Glee had now, but it didn't take itself seriously.
They had premiered Glee during the spring before the season started in the fall, so I watched it and thought I would like it, and it's just the worst thing to ever be anything ever. It is the most inconsistent show I've ever seen and the characters make absolutely no sense. They don't learn or grow or change or even stay the same, they are paradoxes. I pray that some day they will create such a complex paradox that the universe can't even take it anymore and it just disappears in a crack in time and space and never even existed.
Terrible show.

Day 10 – A show you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving
I usually can tell when I'll like a show, but I'm often surprised by how much. Like with Parks and Rec, I assumed I would enjoy it enough but it almost blew me away, it is just that good. I think when I first heard about Community I didn't care, but I don't think I figured I wouldn't like it. That's usually the case with most things in my life, I just don't really care.
Oh, maybe Doctor Who. I didn't know much about it for a few years, but I saw commercials and I probably thought it was dumb. Oh young Katriina. What an idiot. What a stupid, stupid idiot.

Day 09 – Best scene ever
I like the final scenes of a lot of shows, they're usually good. Like the X-Files and Lost had good ones, although that's an unpopular opinion.
I like the scene in Mad Men when the lawnmower goes over that guy's foot. It's funny.
And I like and I hate the scene before the tenth Doctor regenerates. It's so heartbreaking but I can't help but love it. When he goes to Donna's wedding I start to lose it. It's just awfully sad. I miss him.

The Lost episode about Jack's tattoo.

Day 06 – Favorite episode of your favorite tv show
this is another topic that I can't pick at all. I think for some of my favourite comedies I can have favourites, but with dramatic series I can't.
Community... no this is too hard. All the paintball episodes are amazing, and Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, and the zombie one, and basically all the episodes.
Parks and Rec has too many good ones too. Basically every episode this past season has been amazing. Just flawless. The Flu episode, the Fight, the finale, the painting, the fancy party, ugh, it's just all so good. Go watch it now.
I'm editing this to discuss Doctor Who a bit, because I have a few favourite episodes from that show. Except I mostly have favourites per series. Like series one would be the Empty Child/ the Doctor Dances, series two is too close, series three is all pretty good but I am a big fan of Human Nature/ The Family of Blood and Blink of course, series four is also too close, I really liked Donna and she made the whole thing great. and series five is hard to tell too, but I really really like Vincent and the Doctor. and I love basically all the finales.

Day 05 – A show you hate
Glee
Two and a Half Men
The Big Bang Theory
Most reality shows
I'm really sick of hearing about House, so I'll put that there
More to come~ most likely. I hate more tv shows than I like, probably. and I like a lot of tv shows.

Day 04 – Your favorite show ever
Instead of making this the longest entry in the world, I'll make it the shortest.
I can't answer this. I can't pick just one show. Throughout all of television history there are multiple amazing programs, how can anyone pick one?!
So I'm not answering it.

Day 03 – Your favorite new show (aired this tv season)
I can't actually think of a new show that I like. I started to watch a crap load of new shows and a lot of those are my favourites, but I don't think this was a good season for new tv. I started to watch a few but they were canceled, of course.
I think Sherlock would count for that though. It's Sherlock Holmes with a modern~ twist and it's amazing.
The Walking Dead was also good. and I guess The Killing, except it's pretty slow and I couldn't care less about the politics guy. I actually don't even know what his story is, or who he is. I'm not sure which character is even the politics guy. Maybe that show isn't a new favourite. We'll see.

Day 02 – A show that you wish more people were watching
A few weeks ago my brother called me a pusher. I've been called a lot of things but this one seems to be the most accurate. I basically force television down people's throats. If I've talked to you, I've told you to watch a show.
So I wish that more people were watching Parks and Rec and Community, mostly because I am now in constant fear that their ratings will drop and they'll be canceled. Only sometimes do I bother recommending a show that has good ratings, partially because a lot of them suck. I just hope that I can get people to watch a show and they'll get people who watch a show, and eventually someone with a Nielsen box will get that message and that show will be up a few thousand viewers.
I like to pretend that I'm helping a show. So you should watch Parks and Recreation and Community, because they are really funny and amazing, and it makes no sense to me that they aren't winning thousands of Emmys and why their ratings are so-so when bull like the Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men and Glee are getting good ratings. It is disgusting.

Day 01- A show that never should have been canceled
Okay.
I will have to start with Arrested Development, because it really just makes no sense. And I think it is the obligatory answer to this question.
Law and Order is another one, and the cancellation of this magnificent television program has just fueled my hatred for NBC. I think it's worse that they canceled it and then created Law and Order: LA. Just terrible.
Freaks and Geeks is another one. I don't think I've ever actually watched a Judd Apatow film all the way through because I think they're mostly dumb, but I love Freaks and Geeks, and maybe it's because they had to rely on things other than sexy times for laughs. That's my theory. But it was cancelled so I guess that could prove something. Something sad.
Also Dead Like Me, and because it was by the same guy, Pushing Daisies. I think Pushing Daisies was more a victim of the writers' strike, so I can't totally blame a network, which might be my favourite thing to do ever. It still sucked that it was cancelled because it was so fun.
Those are the best that have been canceled. OH and Futurama, but that's fine because it came back.
